If you are too ill to attend the surgery please phone 01303 243516, before 10.00am if possible, so that the doctors can plan their rounds. Visits are usually only for those who are housebound or the patient is genuinely too ill to come to the surgery. The doctor will usually telephone at some point during the morning to discuss the medical problem prior to visiting. Children who are adequately wrapped can safely be brought to the surgery and will be seen more quickly than if visited at home. Explaining to the telephonist what is wrong helps the doctor to see the most urgent cases first and avoid unnecessary delays.
