We offer the following vaccinations for travel, these are available on the NHS, any additional vaccines would need to be from specialist providers as they are not available on the NHS.  Vaccinations recommended for travel vary according to destination and duration of travel.

Hepatitis A

7th July 2017 - Update:


Dose sparing regimes have been adopted in line with national guidance. Current advice may differ from that previously given as there is a global shortage of adult hepatitis A vaccine.


A full course of vaccination 2 doses, 2nd dose 6-12 months after the 1st,

additional booster may be required 25years after completion of course.

 

Typhoid

Injection lasts for 3 years.

Oral tablets last for 1 year (not usually given) and cannot be taken with malaria tablets.

 

Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio

For adults booster required 10 years after last dose.

Please complete and return a travel risk assessment form, they can be collected from reception or you can print a copy from our documents section. One form is required per patient.

 

Please be aware that at peak travel times your requests will be dealt with mindful of your travel date.
